CMC offers instructor-led training on sexual harassment. The course is four (4) hours in length. The agenda topics include:
- Understanding why the course is being conducted.
- Discussing the definition of sexual harassment.
- Learning the laws and guidelines relative to sexual harassment.
- Reviewing the internal company policy on sexual harassment and related processes.
- Recognizing the possible negative impact of daily andcommon behaviors.
The course is interactive. All participants are encouraged to express their thoughts and opinions. Course methods include: PowerPoint slides, video, case study scenarios, full and small group discussion and lecture. At the end of the course we have the capability to have each participant complete a “quiz” on the material for your internal records.
We also offer web-based training in two (2) and four (4) hour formats. In the two (2) hour course we share a brief overview of the subject. The agenda topics include:
- Clarification of what sexual harassment is and is not in the workplace.
- A review of the state and federal laws and guidelines.
- A review of your company’s internal policy and associated processes.
- Examination of common behaviors and potential negative interpretations.
In the four (4) hour course, in addition to the same information in the two (2) hour course we add the following:
- An understanding of the power of personal perceptions.
- A reminder of general verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Provide an opportunity to resolve case study scenarios and vignettes regarding sexual harassment issues.
At the end of the webcasts, we have the capability to administer a completion assessment, which may be sent back to your appropriate department(s) to record attendance and final score.
